Kim Na Jung, 31, a former television announcer and current model, made an appeal for help on social media, saying she was too scared to leave her hotel while in the Philippines.
UPDATE: The model is now under investigation after confessing to drug use.

Kim said she was at the Conrad Hotel in Manila and felt threatened in an Instagram post on November 12. She wrote, "I am scared I cannot go to the airport or I cannot take a taxi. Help me."

She also posted a plea for her followers to reach out to the embassy on her behalf.

Kim relayed her plight via a text on the numberregistered with the embassy, saying she wanted to return to South Korea. "I think I'm going to die if I get on a plane," she wrote.
"I think I'm going to die if I go out of Manila. The airport is also dangerous."

In another post later that day, she said she was on a flight that took off from Manila at 12:05 p.m. local time.

Though it is uncertain what triggered her distress, a wave of concern from fans has been directed towards her while she is receiving the necessary assistance.
KimNa-jung, who gained public attention from MBN's "Miss Maxim" contest in 2019, appeared on various TV programs such as SBS's "Black Sheep Game" and Wave's original series "Four Seasons Verification Zone: The Community."
So far, the embassy has not issued a statement regarding her case
