Paul Walker's brother is rumored to have been tapped to step in for the actor in Fast & Furious 7. This comes after Director James Wan and Universal have announced that Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, will have a fitting exit from The Fast and the Furious film franchise.

O'Conner will be retired in the upcoming movie instead of getting killed off as some have speculated. The Fast & Furious 7 team will find a way to make use of existing footage that Walker had already shot as the star had already finished filming about half of his participation in the movie. The rest will be filled in with new scenes that the production team will create and shoot. The release date has been pushed back by eight months to accommodate the latest developments.

This is where his brother, Cody Walker, comes in. Rumor has it that the film's producers have approached the younger Walker to be his older sibling's stunt double. Cody reportedly looks similar enough to Paul to fill in the role and the differences in the brothers' looks won't be noticeable from a distance.

The Daily Mail is citing a source close to production, who reportedly said, "Producers had a string of meetings right after Paul's death. They soon realized they needed someone who looked like Paul to finish the movie and that's when they approached his nearly identical brother, Cody." Director Wan and Universal have not made an official announcement however, nor have either even hinted of any possible Cody Walker involvement.

Paul Walker died last November 30, 2013 in a heartrending car accident in Santa Clarita, California. The actor died with his friend Roger Rodas when the Porsche they were riding in crashed into a pole and tree on their way to a charity event for Walker's non-profit organization, Reach Out Worldwide.
