We all know that a WWE vs UFC discussion "as is" goes nowhere as the two are completely separate entities, however WWE's recent announcement of their online streaming service "WWE Network" fans have once again started a new WWE vs UFC discussion but this time pitting the recently announced online streaming service "WWE Network" against online streaming service "UFC Fight Pass" and it seems that various MMA journalists think that WWE's "WWE Network" offers more than UFC's "UFC Fight Pass"
Chris Hall from Bloody Elbow is quoted saying in his article that "WWE digital network eclipses UFC Fight Pass" while Ross C of Fight Of The Night said that "WWE Network outguns UFC Fight Pass". Zach Arnold in his article on fightline.com says that WWE humiliated UFC by launching WWE Network.
MMA Fans weighed in on the discussion as well, A forum thread on sherdog.com garnered a lot of posts debating "UFC Fight Pass" and "WWE Network" comparison with many users saying that "WWE network blows UFC Fight pass out the water" and that "WWE Network offers more than UFC Fight Pass"
The reason they say this is that the 'WWE Network', which was announced at the CES 2014 technology show, will cost $9.99 and offers access to their entire library of events and they are also including all 12 of their yearly live pay-per-view events into the subscription as well.
By contrast, the UFC's service doesn't include any of their pay-per-view shows. They only provide exclusive access to at least 10 international 'Fight Night' cards live instead.
The WWE digital service will launch on February 24 just after that night's edition of Monday night RAW. While the service works out to $9.99 per month, it does require a 6 month commitment upon purchase. UFC Fight Pass offers a two week trial before it goes live on March 1.
