Former middleweight champion Anderson Silva was visited by UFC executives Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White today at his house in Redondo Beach, California, where "The Spider" has been resting ever since his fight at UFC 168 and he suffered broken leg. Although the accident was a gruesome one, which led a lot of people to question if Anderson would ever make his way back to the Octagon, both Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta were reportedly very encouraged by the progress that Anderson Silva has made to this point.

After succumbing to a brutal leg break in his second consecutive loss to Chris Weidman at UFC 168, Anderson Silva seems to be on the path to recovery.

His leg was surgically repaired and then put in a cast. The cast is now off and, if Dana White is correct, the former champion could be walking without the aid of crutches within the next 30 days.

Dana White posted this picture of Anderson Silva's broken leg with the cast removed on his twitter account.

Anderson Silva's long-time friends and managers Jorge Guimaraes and Ed Soares say that Anderson Silva's recovery is going better than expected after the surgery to repair the broken leg he suffered at UFC 168.

Anderson Silva's managers talked about a potiential super fight against Georges "Rush" St-Pierre, if the former welterweight champion returns from his self-imposed hiatus. Georges St-Pierre vacated his belt to deal with personal issues but he suggested he would return to the octagon.

"Don't you think that's an option?" Jorge Guimaraes told MMAjunkie in an interview, when asked about Silva's future.

"Man, if we were able to pull something like that off, it would be a win-win for everybody the fans, the UFC," Ed Soares said in an interview. "I think that would be awesome."
