After the mysterious death of Sunandana Pushkar, wife of cabinet minister Shashi Tharoor, on Friday night at a Delhi hotel, anwers are unfolding as to how and what caused her death.

Initial reports from Delhi said the couple were going through troubling times after allegations of Sashi's link with a Pakistani journalist, Mehr Terar.

It appeared as if Sunandhana was deeply affected by this so-called affair or private twitter messages on Twitter. She apparently went into Sashi's twitter account and made Terar's comments public.

Doctors in Kerala said that Sunandana had no life threatening illness; she had made several trips to Tharoor's home state.

"There were certain injury marks on her body. The nature of the injuries cannot be revealed. It is a case of sudden unnatural death," said a doctor from the AIIMS. An autopsy revealed injury marks but it could not be determined if they were related to the incident.

Dr Sudhir Kumar Gupta, was one of three medical personnel carrying out the post-mortem."

Abhinav Kumar, an assistant to Tharoor said, "There were no signs of any foul play or any struggle. She had no sign of poisoning or anything," reports BBC.

"Samples of toxicology analysis rules out poisoning," said doctors adding that a full report would be released in two days.

Following the autopsy, Tharoor took his wife's body for cremation at a site near their family home. Tharoor's son, who works for the Times, has asked the media to allow the family to have some privacy.

The cremation took place at 5:30 pm Indian time Saturday.

Tharoor who is the human resource minister is scheduled to make a statement. He was admitted to the AIIMS early Saturday morning after he complained of chest pain and uneasiness.
