The "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Empire Magazine covers created quite a stir on the web, for different reasons, thus prompting huge reactions from fans and non-fans alike.

One of the biggest surprises in the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Empire Magazine covers was the inclusion of a Rogue cover as it was recently announced by "X-Men: Days of Future Past" director Bryan Singer that all of Anna Paquin's scenes as Rogue won't appear in the theatrical cut of the movie as it was cut due to pacing issues.

"Through the editing process, the sequence became extraneous. It's a really good sequence and it will probably end up on the DVD so people can see it. But like many things in the editing process, it was an embarrassment of riches and it was just one of the things that had to go. Unfortunately, it was the one and only sequence Anna Paquin was in, the Rogue character was in. Even though she's in the materials and part of the process of making the film, she won't appear in it. She was awesome in the sequence. She's a brilliant actress. I would work with her in a heartbeat."

With this in mind, fans quickly replied on the post of the official fan page of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" announcing the covers of the Empire Magazine.

Matt Robitaille commented "Isn't she also not in the movie anymore?" while user Jay Sing posted "Why is she on the cover if Bryan just broke the news that he cut her form the film??".

User Sivert Avaldi Løvehjerte got confused with the release of the Rogue cover and posted "WHY are you doing this? I mean, first you announce her return to X-Men, then suddenly her scenes got cut from the movie, and now she's on one of the Empire Covers. WHAT IS GOING OOOOON????"

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is still months away from a release and with all of these feedback about Rogue, it would make sense for Bryan Singer to put back all of Rogue's scenes on the theatrical release to keep the fans happy.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" will be come out on theaters around the world on May 23, 2014.
