CM Punk quitting WWE has been all around the net now, but recent events may point to it being a "hoax" or at the very least it is just an angle for a storyline in the WWE.
According to a report by TMZ which said that "Sources close to the situation tell TMZ Sports ... Punk was livid when he learned officials scripted Batista to win the Royal Rumble ... because he feels Batista isn't in great wrestling shape and shouldn't be featured in the title match at the upcoming WrestleMania (the biggest event of the year)."
"We're told Punk feels he earned the right to be in the main event at WrestleMania -- because he's been wrestling tirelessly over the past year from house shows to overseas events. Punk was angry when he found out he'd be wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania instead of squaring off in the title match."
However just as this story broke out, Rener Gracie, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor of CM Punk, revealed on Fox Sports that CM Punk told him he will be in Los Angeles and maybe if they could train together.
What is interesting about this is that WWE Raw will be near that location on February.
Why would CM Punk be travelling there at the exact moment WWE will be there to tape a RAW episode?
It's seems that the CM Punk quitting maybe an angle or just a coincidence as CM Punk will be starting to train for his MMA debut?
According to an interview with Ariel Helwani in MMA Fighting, CM Punk discussed WWE and his interest in fighting MMA.
People not familiar to CM Punk should know that CM Punk has been studying and training in different martial arts over the years and he really does know how to fight.
Rener Gracie even commented that he has the skills to "knock some fools out and choke some dudes" in an MMA fight.
