Tiger Woods News Update: American golf star acknowledges the pitfalls of getting old. The world's best golfer, who is now 38 years old, admitted he is working on making his backswing shorter after the latest tournament got underway according to Bleacher Report.
Sky Report quoted Woods, "I've always played my best from a shorter position. Looking back at my younger days on tour it as even shorter than it is now, the only difference is I can't wheel on it like I used to." He admitted familiarizing to his recent games due to old age.
According to Tiger Woods official site, after two days of ball-striking, Tiger improved by hitting 13of 18 greens in regulation. However, he hit only 7 of 14 fairways and used 29 putts, including a three-putt par at the final hole.
"Whether or not the slight adjustment will make a significant difference remains to be seen. Woods will certainly be hoping for a major improvement over his last outing, but is sure to face competition from the likes of Rory McIlroy, Jamie Donaldson and Joost Luiten to name a few," stated in Bleacher Report.
Tiger Woods said on a conference last Friday, "I felt great with the putter but feeling great with the putter from 40, 50 feet is not exactly the best thing. I just didn't hit it close enough. Didn't hit it well. Struggled with it and had a bad warmup, as well, and just one of those days.
Back in December 2013, according to Mail Online, Tiger Woods is the man who ripped up the record books to elevate golf to new heights.
