Samsung Galaxy S4 Black Edition has been released according to published reports.
But like its cousin, the Samsung Galaxy S4, the black edition seems to having its share of problems too.
Samsung has made a brave effort to make a comeback with the black edition a year after the launch of the Galaxy S4. Users still remain loyal to the S4, with one expert on digital trends touting it as 'still the best android on the market. '
As the name implies, Black Editions comes in a black color with a brushed metal look. One of the notable surprises of the Black Editions is its leather look alike posterior, which adds a class of touch to the phone. It was seen on new releases of the Samsung Note IIIs, but not on the the Galaxy S4 smartphones.
Samsung's design options have improved a great deal amid stiff competition against Apple's multi-colored 5c phones made for emerging markets. An attractive gold casing on the Note 3 was especially praised for its esthetics by trade show experts. However, these are cosmetic enhancements with little or no change in performance.
Like its predecessors, the S4 Mini comes in a 4.3 " 960x540 pixel screen along with a dual core processor with a camera of 8 megapixels, an impressive camera lens.
So far, Samsung's Russian websites have been the only ones to display the Black Edition Galaxy models. Howeever, digitaltrends.com said an international launch is likely. Analysts say that Samsung is a premier sponsor of the 2014 Russian Winter Olympics in February. It make sense for Samsung to have a couple of new handsets on hand, without making them totally unique, but just a difference in color.
Analysts say that like the Gold Note 3 which was introduced in the U.S. in partnership with Verizon. The Black Editions might take the same route, but consumers might be more anxious to have a look at the Galaxy S5.
