Several reports have confirmed the Samsung Galaxy S4 is having several issues overheating, display problems, email deletions and Wifi connectivity problems.
In an effort to fix some of these problems on what is apparently, 'the second best smartphone' four months in a row following the trails of the iPhone 5s, another Android 4.3 JellyBean update issued.
However, news reports say that the wait for the Android 4.4 Kitkat update is what will put the Samsung Galaxy S4 to the test. The KitKat update is expected to get rid of the problem. All this within weeks of a new arrival, the Samsung Galaxy S5, touted for rumored launch on February 24th, the opening day at the MWC Barcelona 2014.
This could be an advantage since the industry top players will be watching the release in a couple of weeks. The invitation only event is 'Unpacked 2014' and a no. 5 on the invite has everyone ready for a Samsung S5 launch.
Earlier reports had said that a probable launch in April was likely. Or it might even be extended to May. Some emerging media reports said that a version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active may be slated for release to consumers, while some of the other features like dust proof and water proof may be put on standby.
Going back to the the Galaxy S4 Black screen problem, one user said that his phone was going blank after putting it in the S4 case. When the phone was switched on for recovery, it does not turn on. This problem may be due to the magnet on the case.
A more serious problem is floating on YouTube and the Net regarding an 'actual black screen of death' that does not allow you to turn the phone on and view the display screen. Amid a lack of response from Samsung's update, Galaxy S4 users have been reinventing their own versions of fixes for the smartphone, which now has issues galore regarding functionality.
Here's one way to fix your S4 black screen problem.
Open your phone with a screw driver and open up the phone. Use a hair dryer to make the display surface hot.on both sides and reinsert the parts of the phone as they were.
After the the display is back on the frame, test out your phone.
