Matt Peterson, we have some news for you: Miley Cyrus answered your invitation to the prom!
High school student and Miley Cyrus fan Matt Peterson made a video invitation for Miley Cyrus, asking her to be his date in his school's Prom night. The "Bangerz" star replied, and there's good news and bad news. The bad news is that Miley Cyrus won't make it to prom, but the good news is she wants to spend time with him up-close and personal in his home state of Arizona!
The 17-year old highshool fan recently made a video invite for Cyrus to be his prom date. Under the video is a message saying:
"Miley, I have been a fan of yours from the beginning. You've changed my life, and I want to repay you by giving you the best night of your life. In order to do that, allow me to take you to my Prom on May 3, 2014. I promise you, we will have a great time.. and after our first encounter, I won't cry on your dress. I hope you will tell me yes when I'm sitting with roses in the 6th row at your BANGERZ tour in Phoenix on February 27th!"
In the video, he wears a black "Team Miley" shirt then begins to reminisces about meeting her twice before, and invites her to accompany him to the event by saying, "I promise you it'll be the best night of your life. And if you aren't the slow-dancing type, no worries, I go to public school and grinding is allowed!"
In the video he stripped naked and carried a foam finger and bouquet of roses, expressing his intentions to be his prom date.
Cyrus replied on Feb. 8 by saying, "Dear Matt Peterson, I don't think I'll be able to make it to prom BUT why don't you come to my AZ show & hang w me? Don't forget a corsage."
Cyrus isn't just making an excuse: she can't be in Arizona on May 3 because she'll be in Europe on her "Bangerz" tour; she has a show in Belgium the following night. Her show in Arizona is on Feb. 27, though, and Peterson has already stated that he'll be "sitting with roses in the 6th row." As you can imagine, he's pretty excited.
The enthusiastic teen responded, "I need a tongue tuxedo made by the the 27th. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE!!! #mileyprom"
