The wait is over Marvel fans, because you're about to see the first ever trailer of Marvel's next big super hero hit, Guardians of the Galaxy.
The Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was released on ABC'S "Jimmy Kimmel Live," no doubt in preparation for the battle of younger viewers against "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon." Chris Pratt leads the odd pack of intergalactic heroes in Marvels newest blockbuster hit, which will be released on August 1, 2014.
Guardians of the Galaxy, directed by James Gunn, is a superhero team movie designed as a stand-alone from Marvel's Avengers franchise. The film follows Peter Quill, a.k.a Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), a half-human half-alien who is in possession of a mysterious orb of immense power. On the run from Ronan the Accuser (Lee Pace) and Nebula (former Doctor Who star Karen Gillan), Quill acquires a rag-tag team to aid him.
The other Guardians of the Galaxy are Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the adopted daughter of Thanos and former associate of Ronan, Drax the Destroyer ( WWE superstar Batista), a warrior seeking vengeance; Groot (Vin Diesel), a tree-like alien known for his one repeated phrase "I am Groot"; and Rocket (Bradley Cooper), a hyper-intelligent racoon with a love of firearms.
No doubt Marvel fans will get to know more of the unlikely heroes as they save the whole universe in cinemas near you. Here is the trailer of The Guardians of the Galaxy.
