Good news to all Xbox One gamers out there, a release date of Xbox's newest accessory has been announced so mark your calendars and save enough cash if you wanna be the first ones to get it!

Xbox One Media Remote will be released this early March with a price of $24.99. The announcement was made by Microsoft's Director of Programming, Larry Hryb or also known as Major Nelson on his blog and it's already posted on the Xbox Wire.

With its official release, the Xbox One Media Remote will likely be an alternative choice for the Kinect after Microsoft continues to address early issues with regards to the Kinect's voice system for the Xbox One console and will help ease some frustrations for console users.

The Xbox One Media Remote is an accessory that should help ease the transition from cable box to game console for the uninitiated consumers who want to see what all the fuss is about. With the new remote, you will no longer have to depend on voice commands or an Xbox One controller to quickly navigate video playback of Blu-rays or streaming videos.

The remote appeared out of nowhere on Amazon last week, and although the price was incorrect, the other details seem to have been spot on. Microsoft's media remote will feature backlit buttons and a silicone finish, as well as a dedicated Back button and a OneGuide button for easy access to your TV lineup. The remote "can also control TV/Receiver power and volume through Kinect, which uses IR blasting to send signals to your TV and/or receiver."

So what are you waiting for Xbox One users, save up as much as you can because March is coming soon and we don't want to be the last ones to get the price.
