Samsung Galaxy Note 2 update is underway in the U.S. according to recent news reports.
The Android4.4 KitKat update has been anticipated for some time now. And yes, that includes the Samsung Galaxy Note2, Note 3 and the Galaxy S4.
Of all the flagship phones, Samsung Galaxy S4 has had the most problems on its previous Jelly Bean OS. Customers complained of failing Wifi, and email deletions among other complaints.
Despite the fact that that the Android 4.4 KitKat update was unveiled in 2013, only Nexus devices received the update last year. Samsung has been unlucky in having its flagship phones get a dose of their KitKat although some manufactures have managed to get their hands on it.
Updates are sometimes not as smooth as planned and usually launch in Europe before making its way to the U.S. and Asia.
A compilation of Samsung galaxy U.S. devices that are scheduled to receive the Android 4.4 KitKat update is listed below, according to IBT:
- Galaxy Note 3
- Galaxy Note II
- Galaxy S 4
- Galaxy S4 mini
- Galaxy S4 Active
- Galaxy S4 zoom
- Galaxy S III
- Galaxy S III mini
- Galaxy Mega
- Galaxy Light
- Galaxy Note 8.0
- Galaxy Tab 3
- Galaxy Note 10.1
- Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition
Samsung finally broke its silence on the Android 4.4 KitKat update when it issued a press statement explaining how 14 of the Galaxy brand smartphones linked to different carriers would update to Android 4.4 KitKat. The Android 4.4 update for the Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 could take several days to finish.
The Galaxy S4 I9500SERFNB3 build software will be available through Samsung Kies and 0ver-the-air, point. IBT reports that the updated features may not be different from what is already available.
