"Girls" star Adam Driver is said to be in the final stages of negotiating his villain role in "Star Wars: Episode 7."

According to E! and The Hollywood Reporter , Driver is soon to close the deal to play the mysterious antagonist part in the latest installment of "Star Wars."

Last year there was speculation that Oscar nominee Michael Fassbender and Joel Kinnaman were up for the same role that Driver is locking down.

In fact, a lot of other Hollywood hunks are rumored to be involved in "Star Wars: Episode 7."

Supposedly, Zac Efron and Ryan Gosling were up for the part of Luke Skywalker's son. In addition, allegedly Jonathan Rhys-Meyer was up for a role in the Sci-Fi film while Leonardo DiCaprio turned it down.

Driver's "Girls" co-star Lena Dunham, showed her support on her Twitter page by saying, "We're VERY proud of Adam Driver re: Star Wars. He's about to rip a hole in da force. Is that a thing? I guess I should see those movies?"

She added, " I confirm nothing bc I know nothing bc I'm on a plane with my dad! I just like Adam more than almost anyone, and JJ Abrams a whole lot too."
