Fans of the Michael Crichton novel have long been talking about who will be included in the Jurassic World cast, which is set to be released in 2015. The original film that was aired back in 1993 starred Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm. The actor also appeared in Jurassic Park 2 in 1997, but he was no longer included in the last sequel of the blockbuster film series that was shown in theatres back in 2001.

After 13 years of being in hiatus, Universal finally decided to bring back the Jurassic franchise with a new installment. The producers got a newcomer Colin Trevorrow to direct the film and people can also expect fresh faces such as Chris Pratt (Parks and Rec) to be included in the Jurassic World cast.

So does that mean Jeff Goldblum is out of the picture? Fans of the 61-year old actor shouldn't keep their hopes up as he revealed the real reason why he no longer appeared in Jurassic Park 3. Some people think that the reason he refused to star in the third installment of the film was because Steven Spielberg no longer directed that movie. When Huffingtonpost asked him that question, Goldblum said "No, nobody asked me, but I was perfectly satisfied with the two that I did. I'm still satisfied with that and I'll be the first in line to see anything else, so, you know."

Movies especially suspense thrillers like the Jurassic Park needs a good actor to play as the villain. Deadline announced that Vincent D'Onofrio will be included in the Jurassic World cast. Known for playing many antagonist roles, the veteran actor is expected to add some excitement in the film. Also included in the cast is "Life of Pi" star Irrfhan Khan, but his role wasn't reveal yet. As months pass by until the film's target release date in 2015, Universal continues to cook up another blockbuster hit. Watch out more updates of the Jurassic World here.
