After the successful debut of The Avengers in 2012, Justice League movie cast rumors started to emerge. Before NBA had their own Dream Team, the superheroes already have what we can consider a dream team. Seeing your favorite American superheroes such as Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and Wonder Woman fighting crime together is totally awesome!
DC Comics made our dream come true by forming the Justice League back in 1960. We have seen some of the main characters come to life when producers decided to create a film adaption of the comic books.
The Superman film series became a huge hit back in the late 70s and early 80s - making Christopher Reeves a household name because of his portrayal of Clark Kent and Superman. Batman, on the other hand, had many faces including Michael Keaton (the first two sequels), Val Kilmer, and George Clooney. Christopher Nolan also decided to create his own version of Batman when he released The Dark Knight Trilogy, which starred Christian Bale.
So who will be the next face of Batman? Warner Bros. president Greg Silverman revealed to The Hollywood Reporter who they have chosen for the role. He said, "We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular superheroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some."
Fans of the Cape Crusader are also wondering if Affleck will star in Justice League. The Award-winning actor denied the Justice League movie cast rumors in a press interview. Affleck said, "Justice League sounds really exciting, but it's not something I'm working on."
As for Superman, Henry Cavill, who starred in the Man of Steel last year, confirmed that he will indeed return for a sequel. Affleck will join him in the second installment of the Man of Steel, which will hit the theaters on July 17, 2015.
Also joining the two actors is Gal Gadot, who will play the role of Wonder Woman. In an interview with Good Evening with Gai Pines, the Israeli actress said "I represent the Wonder Woman of the New World."
These three big names keep on emerging when Justice League movie cast rumors came out. Affleck already said he won't join Justice League, but the other two names haven't confirmed anything yet.
