Robin Thicke and Paula Patton may have officially split up, but the "Blurred Lines" singer is still bent on getting his wife back. The sexy crooner has been making declarations of love for the beautiful actress, and the two are reportedly still talking their relationship over.
The longtime Hollywood couple released a statement to People back in February, which said, "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time." Since then, Thicke has been very busy getting Patton back.
After they announced their separation, Thicke had his first post-breakup performance in Fairfax, Virginia. He sang "Lost Without U" and told the audience it was dedicated to the Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol actress. "For y'all that don't know, me and my wife separated, but I'm trying to get my girl back," he said.
On March 2 in Atlantic City, he made a speech onstage about love. He told fans, "Never stop believing and you never stop loving. And even if it's over, make sure you treat each other right. Treat your family right. Sometimes when I get a little scared or worried about the future, I just try to stay positive and do my part to spread love and joy." One of the audience members yelled, "I love Paula!" Thick responded by saying, "I do, too!"
Then, on March 7 at his show in Madison Square Garden, he made his latest plea. He told the audience, "When there's someone you love, you gotta fight for them no matter what. We gotta learn to forgive each other, learn to love each other, no matter who it is in your family or relationship, 'cause you're always gonna need your friends and family."
Thicke has been wearing his wedding ring on and off, giving the impression that nothing is final. Meanwhile Paula made a splash at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party on March 2. She showed her estranged husband exactly what he was missing by looking incredibly svelte in a stunning white and silver Celia Kritharioti gown.
TMZ reported that Thicke and Patton are still communicating, and it seems the singer might get another chance. Patton reportedly hasn't hired a divorce lawyer, although the Thicke's public apologies haven't had an effect on her.
Thicke and Patton have been married for nine years since 2005, but they have been together for 22 years. They were childhood sweethearts, having met in their teen years.
