During six months of touring in the United States, the "Red" Tour brought in an estimated $30 million. Swift was also the #1 highest paid musician on Billboard's Top 40 Money Makers list in the previous year (2012) after touring for her second album, "Fearless."
Country music star Kenny Chesney was #2 according to Billboard, bringing an equally impressive $32,956,240.70. Numero tres, Justin Timberlake, after almost seven years away from music, earned $31,463,297.03 in 2013. The artist toured stadiums all over the country both by himself and with Jay Z. The "Legends of the Summer" tour with Jay Z generated $60 million from 12 shows. On his own, Timberlake made $43 million and performed in front of nearly 1 million fans in 39 shows.
Beyoncé is #6 on the list, raking in $24,429,176.86 in 2013 with her nonstop touring and surprise(!) iTunes album release. Her fifth studio album Beyonce debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 617,000 in its first week. Mrs. Carter started 2013 with a bang, giving an unforgettable Super Bowl halftime show before embarking on the 132-date "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour. The tour grossed $104.4 million ($59 million in U.S.). Beyonce earned $19.9 million from the tour alone.
