Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth, who is set to star as Thor in Avengers 2, recently revealed some juicy news about his upcoming movie. The God of Thunder attended the Wizard World Comic Con held in Sacramento, California where he joined a Q & A session with the press people.
In a report published by Comic Book Movie, the 30-year old actor was asked about his role as Thor and if he will get more screen time in the next sequel of The Avengers. Chris said, "I hope so," which got the crowd laughing along with him.
When asked about the movie itself, Chris Hemsworth wasn't able to contain his feelings as he described what people can expect in Avengers 2. He said, "Everything in 'Age of Ultron' is ramped up though. It kind of blew me away reading the script. I don't know how Joss Whedon does it, but everyone has gone up another notch and the whole thing is bigger and more exciting and crazier. Yeah, he's a genius."
I'm sure hearing that from your favorite superhero would make you want to speed up the time so you can already watch the next installment of The Avengers. But unfortunately, we still need to wait for more than a year since the 'Age of Ultron' will be released on May 1, 2015.
Chris was also asked by one of the press people which Marvel co-stars he spends most time with off camera besides Tom Hiddleston (Loki). The Aussie heartthrob said, "I probably see Robert Downey Jr. a bit because he lives near me."
He added, "A lot of us kind of disappear on other projects, so most of the time we don't see each until the sequels. I'm really excited to start Avengers 2 in 2 months and get back on set." That definitely got the crowd all hyped up and Chris added, "Yeah, we're going to meet in London and shoot there for 4 months, so I'm excited to get back together with everyone and catch up."
When Chris Hemsworth said that everything will be big in The Avengers 2, what big things do you expect from the film?
