A new set of behind-the-scenes pictures of Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has surfaced the internet and the new photos feature the other characters involved in the film: The Kree warlord Ronan the Accuser, Nova Corps leader Nova Prime Rael, and The Collector.
The new photos of the Guardians of the Galaxy came from ABC's documentary special Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe last Tuesday. The documentary showcases many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's footages that are part of Phase 2 including the Avengers sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The photos were uploaded by Idle Hands and here is a look of some of the characters that are a part of Guardians of the Galaxy.
Ronan the Accuser
Ronan played by Lee Pace is the main villain in the movie and in the comics he is member of an alien race known as the Kree and has dealt with many of Marvel's heroes particularly the Avengers and Fantastic Four. In the movie he hunts down Peter Quill a.k.a. Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) after stealing an object that Ronan believes is his property. One of the Guardian's Drax the Destroyer (Batista) has some issues with him being responsible for his family's death.
Nova Prime Rael
Nova Prime Rael will be played by Glenn Close is the leader of the Nova Corps. The Nova Corps are an intergalactic military/police force in the Marvel universe and the corps popularity within the comics has been highly regarded especially its member Richard Rider also known as the superhero Nova. Close's character will be joined by Nova Corps member Rhomann Dey played John C. Riley.
The Collector
Although he made his appearance at the end credits of Thor: The Dark World, the Collector will join the Guardians of the Galaxy film although his role within the film is still unknown, but it will somehow involves him collecting something or someone very rare to his eyes. The Collector is played by Benicio del Toro.
Also starring Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, and Vin Diesel as Groot. Marvel fans can't wait to see what Guardians of the Galaxy has in store for them as the film will be shown in cinemas August 1, 2014.
