Android 4.4 KitKat update review has news for LG G2 users because the international update is coming to you - or the LG G2, no matter where you are.
The highly anticipated roll out was expected since its release in December 2013, but it has been a gradual update at best. With so many android smartphones receiving the KitKat at various times, the update has caused confusion among users. LG G2 users are likely to be updated in days, weeks, say news reports.
All said and done, the Android KitKat firmware is coming your way, if you own a LG G2.
The recently released Samsung Galaxy S5 will carry a brand new OS, the Android 4.5 or Android 5, depending on the naming convention. But for now, the latest Android version is KitKat and it has some nice enhancements on its own: better battery life, faster performance, plus a better 'Knock on' feature.
The KitKat update is also a fix for some of the issues caused by its previous upgrade, the Android 4.3 JellyBean.
The complete list of enhancements are listed by AT&T's KitKat update, the same for all the worldwide Android 4.4 updates:.
"Improved user interface with Android 4.4 KitKat: The latest version of Android includes enhancements such as restyled status and navigation bars, a new full-screen mode, improved closed captioning support, and stronger security.
Improved battery efficiency: the phone plays music more efficiently and supports the battery-saving location mode, extending battery life.
Faster processing speed: The latest version of Android provides a noticeable speed boost that runs applications 17 percent faster than before and web-browsing speed is improved with the Chromium engine.
Printing in the Cloud: Google Cloud Printer makes it simple to print documents via Wi-Fi or a Bluetooth connection.
Enhanced "Knock On" feature: The responsiveness of LG's Knock On feature has been improved," reports GSMarena.
Techradar's verdict on the latest Google Android update is "Android 4.4 refines a polished platform even further and shows a real commitment to getting the basics right."
