Sony has announced the new updates for the PlayStation 4 that will surely be an improvement for the systems for PlayStation users around the globe. In a post on the PlayStation Blog, Scott McCarthy, Sony's Director for product planning and software innovation at SCEA discussed the new functionalities of the new updates for the upcoming weeks.
"We'll soon be bringing some of your most-requested features to PS4 with a system software update in the upcoming weeks. These features and additions will help make your PS4 even more socially connected by further enabling you to customize your most epic gaming moments and granting even more options to show them to your friends."
The PlayStation 4 new update will allow you to export and save videos and screenshots to a USB drive by pressing the SHARE button. In addition, Sony is adding in what it claims to be a simple but richly featured video editor. Finally, the update will include an HDCP off option for capturing via HDMI, a feature that makes a big difference for gamers looking to create longer clips of gameplay.
Another update to look forward to for the PS4 is the ability to archive Twitch broadcasts, which Sony has reportedly stated will be coming in a separate update. Apparently, a number of PS4 users are requesting this feature. The possibility for a higher resolution of 720p may also be included in the option for better and crisper images.
