Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors, price have taken the spotlight recently after it was introduced as the new flagship phone for Korean smartphone maker, Samsung.
The S5 release was during the Unpacked 5 event was the highlight of the MWC2014 in Barcelona, and the phone was touted as one of the best phones to be released; just what was required to rival the highly aniticipated iPhone 6.
According to NDTV, the first piece of information has come through concerning its release, Samsung officially unveiled the details of the phone along with an availability date of April 11. However, it did not discuss the price. The S5 is due for launch in 150 countries.
A Korean tech blog reported, however, that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will cost less than the Samsung Galaxy S4 's price ahead of launch. This estimation is consistent with earlier reports
"According to the Korean media, the official Samsung Galaxy S5 "factory price" is 800.000 won (roughly $744). Some of you might remember that Galaxy S4's original asking price, in Korea, was 890.000 won (roughly $827). Therefore, if this is actually Galaxy S5's asking price, the difference between the S5 and S4 launch price tags would be 90.000 won, or roughly $83," Gadgets..NDTV reported.
The slash in price is a 10% decrease for the Samsung Galaxy S5 in comparison to the previous flagship.
While consumers are asking, 'So does that mean we will see a 10 percent drop for the S5?"
Factoring in the conversion factor for the ailing dollar, the period when the Galaxy S4 was released till now is significant. In India, that represents a Rs.5 margin which means Samsung will need to market the S5 at an aggressive price point. As a result, the consumer is expected to derive more of a benefit from the price cut than Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 stole the show at the MWC2014 with a presentation that dazzled Barcelona. The S5 will sport the Android 4.4.2 KitKat. still on a roll out in several parts of the world. With a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display and a 1080x1920 pixel full-HD resolution, it combines 2.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S5 ships in 16GB and 32GB sizes along with microSD card that can store up to 64GB.
