Marvel freaks were treated with The Avengers 2 spoilers during the airing of Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe on ABC last Tuesday. They revealed how the small comic book company turned out to become a movie giant - starting out with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk back in 2008 to the development of The Avengers.
Fans had a peek of the Age of Ultron, which is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015. Unfortunately, there aren't any actual footage shown yet since they just started shooting the movie. But fans had a chance to see some concept art and there were also The Avengers 2 spoilers that were dished out by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and director Joss Whedon.
The latest installment of The Avengers will feature a face-off between the green giant Hulk and Iron Man's "Hulkbuster". According to Marvel Comics, Tony Stark designed this massive armor so he can finally defeat The Hulk. However, it is still unknown if the billionaire playboy will be inside the armor when they have a face-off.
Fans were excited to see the Hulkbuster and one even commented, "OMG Hulkbuster!" Another fan said, "There is just, literally, not enough thumbs on Facebook to show how much I like that!"
After that revelation, Joss Whedon revealed the two new members of The Avengers: Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. Elizabeth Olsen will play the character of the witch, who is also the daughter of Magneto. Aaron Johnson, on the other hand, will star as Quicksilver who is the speedy twin of Scarlet Witch.
It will be the first time that the superhero siblings will appear in any Marvel movie so fans of those characters must be excited to see them on the big screen. An artist's rendition of Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were also shown during the ABC special feature last Tuesday.
Joss Whedon said, "Once you have your origin of a team, the next story is really about how can that paradigm sustain once they've digested their shawarma." He added, "Can they actually stand each other?"
Bringing in new recruits must have been not easy for the team to accept them. Whedon revealed, "The sibling team are not bestest friends with the Avengers." He said, "It's a little more grown up, a little scarier, a little funkier." Whedon added, "And yes...there may be some punching."
