Space Jam 2 News: It has been 17 years since basketball fans fell in love with Space Jam, who starred arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan. Fast forward to 2014, rumors are surfacing that the greatest basketball movie of all time will have its sequel.
Considered as the greatest player as of the moment, Miami Heat star Lebron James though, is denying any involvement with regards to the movie.
"It's news to me," the Miami Heat superstar told Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "I haven't heard anything about it. Like I said, I've always loved Space Jam. It was one of my favorite movies growing up. If I have the opportunity, it will be great. But that's news to me. Obviously, I don't want to be on there with this thing on my nose. We'll see what happens."
Although there are no serious talks about a possible sequel yet, it would be interesting to select the new generation of stars, just in case the same plotline happens again, wherein the alien antagonists absorbed the talent of the NBA elites during that time.
Below are the list of the previous stars who starred in Space Jam, followed by their worthy predecessors. The videos attached will serve as their audition piece. You be the judge.
Patrick Ewing - Dwight Howard
Dwight is a born comedian, which is always great to have in a comedy film. Aside from that, he is a beast inside the paint, which is very much what Patrick Ewing was on his heyday.
Charles Barkley - Blake Griffin
Blake Griffin is the symbol of might and tenacity right now in the NBA. He is easily the most athletic big man in the game. Although he is not much of a talker like Charles Barkley was, he will make it up on his acting skills. Here's some pretty funny ads he starred on with Kia.
Larry Johnson - James Harden
James Harden is pretty much the same with Larry Johnson in terms of being a physical specimen. Also, his beard is something the aliens might find interesting as well, although they might leave behind what you're going to hear in this video.
Shawn Bradley - Kevin Love
Kevin Love might be too much of an upgrade from Shawn Bradley, as the most ideal big man we can compare to Bradley right now is Cavalier's center Spencer Hawes, but Kevin Love is one of the best big man in the game right now, and the aliens, this time must have done their research and would not settle for less this time.
Muggsy Bogues - Kyrie Irving
Same case with Kevin Love, Kyrie is an upgrade from Bogues. The main reason why Kyrie should be on this film, is this:
