Apple is providing us another app to obsess over.
Details for the Apple Healthbook App for its iOS 8 mobile devices are being released and we like what we're hearing!
According to the Contra Costa Times, the Healthbook App could highly benefit users with diabetes.
It is being reported that the Healthbook App's ability to track blood sugar will make it easier for those with diabetes who have to check their blood sugar numerous times per week or day.
The new application is expected to look very much like Apple's Passbook app that is used to store passes from iOS apps.
Healthbook will regulate all kinds of information related to the user's body including bloodwork, heart rate, hydration, blood pressure, physical activity, nutrition, blood sugar, sleep, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation and weight.
9to5Mac has reported that iOS 8 users will be able to get information on how much they've walked or how active they are through their iPhone, but its other components, such as weight or blood sugar, will probably require a wearable device.
Apple is going all the way with this app by also including a digital emergency card.
Healthbook is set to store users' emergency contact information as well as their name, birth date, medication information, weight, eye color, blood type, organ donor status and location.
It is rumored that the new iWatch might be a part of the whole Apple Healthbook app.
Macrumors reports that Apple has been hiring health and fitness experts to build its iWatch team, which will help in developing its first wearable device.
The iWatch is rumored to launch later this year, while Healthbook should debut as part of iOS 8 sometime later this year as well.
