iPhone 5S iOS 7.1 vs Galaxy S5 KitKat boot speeds are something that many upgraders might be thinking about.

Here it is then. You can bet a plethora of iPhone users have already downloaded the latest version of Apple's iOS. Nonetheless the 4.4 KitKat OS that Android uses on the Nexus 5 and the recently announced Samsung Galaxy 5 does a swell job when it comes to refining and polishing up its previous OS, which was riddled with issues interrupting smooth function of the smartphones.

When testing for boot up speeds in both the Android 4.4.2 KitKat on Nexus 5 and iOS 7.1 from iPhone 5s, the latest OS systems in both the Apple and Google camps, Adrianisen video on YouTube show that the shut down speeds are pretty much the same.

'YouTubeans' are more interested in comparing the boot speeds of the hottest releases and this is what they found. In two runs, one OS version came out on top, while another two runs show that both OSs were not consistently booting faster than the other.

So, basically the evidence is inconclusive in the comparison for boot up speeds on the Nexus 5 vs the iPhone 5s.

The folks at phonesreview say,"We don't want to give away which was fastest, but on a couple of occasions it appears to be the same device and on another there's nothing between the two...Either way the iPhone 5S and Nexus 5 are both impressive with start-up speeds on their respective operating systems, iOS 7.1 and Android 4.4.2 KitKat." That would mean that both the Nexus and S5 are mobile powerhouses to reckon with among its class of competitiors.

Techradar analysts clocked Android 4.4 taking "21 seconds to boot up on the Nexus 5 used for testing" and you can expect the same speed for the Samsung Galaxy S5 for boot up.

Here's the video of the Nexus 5 - iPhone 5s comparison and extrapolating the results to the Samsung Galaxy S5, which was announced to sport the Android 4.4.2 OS instead of a brand new 4.5 or 5.0 OS, it may be safe to assume the S5 boots up with comparable speeds or than iPhone 5s on iOS7.
