Pharrell Williams has been making headlines lately.

Not only is "Happy" gaining love worldwide, but reviews of his upcoming album "Girl" is proving that he's an even better musician than we thought he was.

Despite his ongoing success, Williams recently settled a legal dispute with will.i.am over the use of brand identity.

According to Hello Magazine, in 2013 Pharrell attempted to trademark the name I Am Other, as part of his creative brand, but will.i.am interjected, saying that the name was too closely linked to his own, i.am.symbolic.

Pharrell reportedly argued that will.i.am's name was too broad, stating, "The I Am Other mark means 'I am something else.'"

Williams' paperwork stated, "It certainly does not mean 'I am Will' or in any way suggest defendants' or the will.i.am mark."

The conflict deepened when "The Voice" judge implied that Pharrell was known for "disrespecting intellectual property," citing Pharrell's lawsuit with Robin Thicke and the Marvin Gaye estate.

The "Happy" singer fought back by stating will.i.am could not trademark I Am because of the existence of other brands known for this phrase.

As the two settle their legal differences, Pharrell's "Happy" gets even more attention as a viral video of a Detroit kids choir's rendition of the "Despicable Me 2" anthem reaches over 1 million YouTube views.

As the video gets even more popular, USA Today reports that NBC's "Today Show," "The Ellen Show" and "The Queen Latifah Show" have all contacted the choir.

According to the LA Times, Pharrell Williams also recently joined with the U.N. Foundation to promote 24HoursOfHappiness.com, with the goal of raising donations for the U.N.'s Central Emergency Response Fund.

Williams came up with the creative idea to ask fans to submit videos of themselves dancing to "Happy."

The successful singer handpicked submissions so some will appear on the 24 Hours of Happiness website at noon in each time zone.
