Australian star Kylie Minogue confirmed what The Voice UK dreaded to hear: she is indeed leaving the singing contest after only one season, according to unrealitytv.co.uk.
Though the "Can't Get You Out of my Head" singer was credited to pulling up the rating of the 2014 season and is a clear favourite judge and mentor of the audience, it was not enough to hold down Kylie's attention.
"I have loved it, although there have been parts which have been really difficult, too taxing and emotional," she told the Daily Mirror newspaper. "You can't second guess yourself.
"You deal with a lot of decisions and emotions," she added.
The shift of her priority can be attributed to her recent Twitter announcement about her album tour, where she excitedly wrote to her fans about her plans to visit Ireland and the UK:
"#Lovers! I'm going back on tour in Europe starting on September 24! Hope to see you there."
She then put a link to Live Nation where fans could buy their tickets.
She also announced that her new album "Kiss Me Once" is already available. Kylie tweeted: "#KissMeOnce is here, #lovers!!! My new album is out everywhere! Get it from @iTunesMusic."
The "Into The Blue" pop star reiterated her priorities to BBC:
"I'm touring this year and the timings wouldn't work. We started filming in November last year for the show and this year I'm on tour in September, October and November. Being on the show is a huge commitment."
However BBC is willing to wait for Kylie's return to The Voice UK. A spokesperson mentioned that they can move around their schedule so it won't clash with Kylie Minogue UK tour dates for 2014.
"Kylie is a fantastic addition to the coaching line up. We are aware of Kylie's UK Tour 2014 commitments and are looking to accommodate them, so that if the series is re commissioned she could return to her coaching role," the BBC spokesperson revealed.
"Discussions are still on going and it's too early to speculate as we've not finished this series yet."
With her UK Tour 2014, Kylie is set to perform in Manchester, London, Cardiff, Nottingham, Birmingham, Dublin, Belfast, Newcastle and Glasgow by September, before finishing off in Sheffield on 13 November.
