One Direction's Harry Styles has purchased a new gated bachelor pad in Beverly Hills for a reported $4.3 million. According to the NY Daily News, his swanky new place has some sad memories for the One Direction heartthrob, as ex girlfriend Kendall Jenner, of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame, helped him pick it out.

The couple lived out a carefully followed, short-lived affair for a few months, before splitting on bad terms in February this year.

"It is sad that she will not be stepping into the place anytime soon after they split up acrimoniously in February," a source told the NY Daily News.

The singer had been hunting for a bachelor pad for more than six months and had called on Jenner in L.A. to help him find the spot. Apparently Jenner loved the house that Styles ended up buying. Before the split, they even talked about decor ideas for his mansion.

Styles' new place was built in 1967 and designed by Alejandro Ortiz. The gated compound includes a 5 bedroom main house, a one-bedroom guest house, a sunken central courtyard, decks and a swimming pool. There are also walls of glass, a library, office, a bar, a private gym and an entertainment center. An insider revealed to the Daily Mirror, "Harry's only told a few people and not many people know the exact location of the pad, but it is fairly spectacular, with an outdoor pool, home entertainment room, and gym."

According to sources that spoke with E! News, the curly haired One Direction singer was looking for a place in Los Angeles rather than the UK because he gets less attention there: "He likes being in L.A. because it's easier for him to go out and go unnoticed than it is for him in London."

The Daily Mirror also reports: "Harry spent a couple of weeks last year looking at properties, before finally finding one he loved, and putting in an offer. Contracts have been exchanged and he is now a proud US home-owner."
