Space Jam 2 Rumors: What should be a fun sequel to Space Jam is having a real challenge to the 'Tune Squad', as many fans would agree. Although the outcome of the game in Space Jam was close and won by Michael Jordan's impossible Slam Dunk, it would be interesting to see them play a team on equal footing; meaning, play a team which will have its own fair share of fan base.
There is a speculation that a Space Jam Sequel is being planned and LeBron James will be part of the film, possibly as the new protagonist. However, he is denying any involvement as of this moment.
"It's news to me," the Miami Heat superstar told Shandel Richardson of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "I haven't heard anything about it. Like I said, I've always loved Space Jam. It was one of my favorite movies growing up. If I have the opportunity, it will be great. But that's news to me. Obviously, I don't want to be on there with this thing on my nose. We'll see what happens."
Although the plot is still unknown, the ideas being thrown around are that either King James will be part of the new Monstars squad as a recruit and will face Michael Jordan's Tune Squad. Some might wonder if MJ will suit up for this film, but that probability is very unlikely as MJ has long been retired. As an alternative, fans have suggested the use of CGI.
Another angle that is being discussed is that the CGI Michael Jordan will be the clone made by the Monstars, and since MJ has long been retired, the Tune Squad will have to find their new captain and hero, which eventually will be LeBron James.
As a preview of possible things to come, here is a teaser for you:
