Frank Ocean has finally given fans a glimpse of the follow-up to his 2012 album, Channel Orange. A Tumblr post Monday revealed a photograph of the singer back in the studio.
Although Ocean's photo did not include a caption, photographer friend Nabil posted an identical picture that acknowledged the singer's work.
"Frank in the lab.. Making sophomore album game," Nabil's caption read.
The "Novacane" singer has said little about the upcoming album, except to perform several new songs during a show in Munich, Germany, according to MTV News.
Ocean also announced that he had completed 10 or 11 tracks. However, there is no word if these tracks will be included in his Channel Orange follow-up.
Ocean has hinted in the past on the inspiration for his upcoming work.
"When I was making the first [album] there were a group of artists that I listened to, just for inspiration and to absorb the energies," he said, according to an interview with MTV News in October 2013.
"It was a lot of Stevie Wonder, and this time it's a lot of Beach Boys and Beatles and whatnot, so we'll see how it trickles into the music and the final product. I can't say much other than that."
As of yet, there is no release date on the new album.
News of Ocean's new work comes just two weeks after Ocean settled a lawsuit Chipotle, after the company accused him of backing out of a commercial last minute, according to MTV News.
Ocean took to his Tumblr to post a check with an expletive addressed to the company. However, TMZ reported that Chipotle confirmed that check they received was without the curse word.
