The Tribeca Film Festival for 2014 is quickly approaching.

There are several films that those venturing to the highly anticipated New York City festival simply have to watch, according to Guardian.

"In Order of Disappearance" directed by Hans Petter Moland and written by Kim Fupz Aakeson is a dark comedy about Nils, who has just won the "Citizen of the Year" award.

Once he finds out that his son passed away due to a heroin overdose, Nils enters a world of gang warfare as he investigates further into his son's death.

Another film that shouldn't be missed is "Bright Days Ahead" by acclaimed French director Marion Vernoux.

The film, also known as "Les beaux jours," is a narrative about a woman in her 60s who falls for her significantly younger computer teacher.

Although the affair revitalizes her state of being, the woman continues to put herself in risky situations, especially with her husband.

The film is said to "create a realistic portrait of a woman who wants to be young." Despite its plot, "Bright Days Ahead" isn't controversially explicit and refreshingly features the relationship between an elder woman and a younger man.

Also topping the list is "Manos Sucias," executive produced by Spike Lee, is about the drug trade in Colombia.

Director Josef Kubota shot the film completely on location with amateur actors as the story focuses on a fisherman and kid trafficking cocaine worth millions inside of a torpedo.

Controversial director Roman Polanski will be working his magic again at Tribeca this year with "Venus in Fur," a film about a theater director's blossoming, steamy relationship with an actress.

"Venus in Fur" will reportedly cover everything Polanksi's career is about, controversy, sex and stunning cinematography.

The last film that is being highly recommended is "Chef," written and directed by Jon Favreau.

This movie is a comedy about Carl Casper, who is left jobless after lashing out at a critic. The film reportedly has an all-star cast including Elizabeth Banks, Dakota Fanning, Diane Lane, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Bobby Cannavale, Sofia Vergara and more.

As Tribeca Film Festival 2014 ticket holders prepare for these noteworthy feature films, it has been announced that that won't be the only thing that the festival has to offer this year.

According to Rolling Stone, Kevin Spacey, Bryan Cranston, Alec Baldwin, Michael Douglas, Aaron Sorkin, Themla Schoonmaker, Skip Lievsay, Lee Daniels, Terence Winter and David Simon, along with other respected actors, directors, writers and producers.

The panels and events for the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival will reportedly be held at various locations in New York City between April 16 and 27.
