Hilary Duff, who is currently going through divorce proceedings with hockey player Mike Comrie, announced via her twitter that she has a new record deal! "I! Have! A! Record! Deal!" she tweeted with a photo of herself. This will be Duff's first album since she released "Dignity" back in 2007. Now that her baby Luca is growing up and she is soon to be divorced from Mike Comrie, it seems like the superstar is ready to become a superstar again! The 26-year-old has been cooking up tunes for a while now. With a record deal, she finally has the platform to make a comeback after a very long break from music. When Idolator spoke to Duff late last year, the singer/actress revealed that she was "super into EDM" but also referenced classic hit "Come Clean".
While appearing on Citytv "Toronto's Breakfast Television" on December 4 in Toronto, Canada, Duff revealed that fans should expect a new single by the spring of 2014. "I think by Spring I should have a single," she said on the show. "The first six songs I've done have all been really dancey and upbeat, uplifting, happy stuff. So now I'm getting into the moody. It's important to have that fine balance and show all your sides. It's got a bit of an indie, dance feel."
Duff also revealed new lyrics to an untitled song via her instagram last Wednesday. She captioned the pic, "Discovering vocal zone throat pastilles has changed the game for recording with a sore throat."
The photo of the lyrics reads:
Take me away
We cannot keep standing in place
Let me hold you so close
I won't let go go go go
Of you, no no no no
I could be your northern star
I could lead the way when the world goes dark
Even on a cloudy night, I will guide you home
I could be your dream come true
Wish on me and I'll be there for you
Even when were world's apart
I could be your northern star
I could be your northern star
Lets take a chance you know I got your back
If we never look back
We'll never know know know
When you take my hand
Sunrise glitters like gold
I will hold you so close
I'll never let go go go go
