Interview

We have revealed some juicy X-Men Days of Future Past spoilers before and most of them came straight from the mouth of your favorite stars. Let us now hear what Shawn Ashmore has to say about the upcoming sequel in an interview with Comic Book Resources.

The 34-year old actor was included in the first X-Men movie. Ashmore played the part of Bobby Drake a.k.a Iceman, who was the love interest of Rogue (Anna Paquin). He again appeared in the sequels X-Men 2: X-Men United, X-Men 3: The Last Stand. "

The Canadian heartthrob returns on the big screen together with the old and new cast of X-Men. The upcoming Bryan Singer film will be based on the Uncanny X-Men comic book where there will be a crossover of the past, present, and future. CBR was able to gather some exciting X-Men Days of Future Past spoilers from Shawn Ashmore. Here are excerpts from that one-on-one interview:

CBR: Why is Days of Future Past such a great story to adapt to film?

SA: I think it was a really smart and interesting move to bring everybody together for one film. For me, what I loved about the Days of Future Past comic books, and what I think is going to translate well to the screen, is it's an epic storyline.

CBR: How has Bobby changed since we last saw him?

SA: Bobby has matured physically. Obviously, as you age as an actor, you get to bring that to the screen. But, he's also a soldier. There's no messing around, anymore.

CBR: What do you think of the new outfits?

SA: I love the new costumes. What I liked is they are more individualized in a really cool way, to suit whatever our ability is. I was excited to have a new look for Bobby.

CBR: Was there any discussion or debate over Bobby's beard?

SA: I got an email from the makeup and hair department leading up to shooting. It said, "Please don't cut your hair or facial hair," so I just left it not knowing that was meant for the actors in the '70s. But in my brain, I had been picturing Bobby looking like this, being more mature.

CBR: Did the battle between mutant and sentinels live up to your expectations?

SA: Yes, we shot sequences that I think people have been waiting to see in the X-Men universe. Epic stuff. Bryan really brought it for this film. I can't wait for people to see the action sequences in this movie.

Thanks Shawn Ashmore for spilling these thrilling X-Men Days of Future Past spoilers! Don't miss the upcoming comic book film adaptation on May 23.
