If ring announcer Michael Buffer had seen the viral video of Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne, he would probably say, "Let's get ready to rumble!" The two celebrities jokingly fight on camera as to who among them is more famous in Canada.
The 29-year old singer, who was wearing a deconstructed black outfit, approached the 21-year old hitmaker, who was all clad in a marijuana designed Rasta-colored jumper. Miley was sitting comfortably on the couch, but she suddenly stood up when Avril tried to rub off her new award.
An online research project of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology revealed that Avril Lavigne is the most famous Canadian. The project even made a website called Pantheon where they listed the rankings of the Canadian celebrities based on popularity. Here's their list of 10 Famous Canadians:
1. Avril Lavigne
2. Jim Carrey
3. Justin Bieber
4. Celine Dion
5. Pamela Anderson
6. Leonard Cohen
7. Michael J. Fox
8. Bryan Adams
9. Frank Gehry
10. Nelly Furtado
Looks like the 'Wrecking Ball' singer can't accept the fact that the rocker chick was on top of the list. In the controversial video posted on Instagram, Miley Cyrus told Avril Lavigne: "I might not be Canadian, but I'm the most famous person in Canada, ya dumb f--king bitch."
The infamous twerker even captioned the clip, "F--k dat Canadian bitch @avrillavigne." The female singers claim that it was just an April Fools' Day joke, but it looked real on Miley's side. We all know how this girl always gets into heated arguments on social media.
Remember the time that she and Katy Perry dissed each other via Twitter? When an Aussie show asked the 'Roar' hitmaker how she felt about her kiss with Miley during the Bangerz Tour, she said: "God knows where that tongue has been. We don't know! That tongue is so infamous." Miley Cyrus was insulted by it, but Katy Perry admitted that it was just a joke.
The only problem is the 21-year old singer doesn't find it funny. What do you think of the Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne clip from Clever News:
