Green Lantern Movie: After a lackluster film adaptation last 2011, Warner Bros. and DC is said to be looking for a reboot of Green Lantern and David Goyer expressed his interest in writing the screenplay for this film.
According to spinoff.com, studio CEO Kevin Tsujihara recently indicated that a new slate of DC Comics films will be announced soon - which could leave the door open to the possibility of another run at Green Lantern.
No stranger to DC Comics film adaptation of the Dark Knight and Man of Steel David S. Goyer said he would like to give his take at Green Lantern. If this happens, the film might be titled 'Emerald Knight', following the trend of the two films mentioned above.
"I would love to do Green Lantern," he said when asked by Collider about the depiction of an alien world in Man of Steel versus that in Green Lantern. "I really wanted to showcase Krypton as a truly alien world. That was one of the things I wanted to do from the beginning when I got involved in the project. At his heart, Superman's always been a science fiction story. I wanted to lean into that, and so did Chris [Nolan], and so did Zack [Snyder], so I was just glad we were able to."
With Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) already set to appear in the much anticipated Batman vs. Superman film, and The Flash (Grant Justin) to have his own television series this 2014, the main core of the Justice League is almost complete.
The questions now are what would be the plot and who would be the villain in this possible reboot. Fans online are debating between Sinestro or Star Sapphire, as both characters are a big part of Hal Jordan's life and is essential to his introduction as Green Lantern.
