After his unforgettable performance hosting SNL ("Saturday Night Live") in January, Drake will be the master of ceremonies for the ESPY Awards in July.
The rapper is more than grateful for the job.
"This is an incredible opportunity for me to combine two of my biggest passions -- sports and performing," Drake said in a statement, according to The Los Angeles Times .
Following his hosting on SNL, Drake was noted by Show Tracker as "an ideal guest host with whom the new writers could play."
In addition, TMZ was the media outlet that alleged his SNL performance triggered the sport's award show to call on the rapper as a host.
While Drake gears up for the ESPYS, held in L.A's Nokia Theatre on July 16th, he is supposedly still warming up to longtime close friend Rihanna.
In recent news, the two entertainers were spotted dancing the night away at a mutual friend's birthday party in Hollywood's Supperclub on Tuesday night.
When Rihanna joined Drake on a Paris stage to perform their "Take Care" duet, more speculation of a love affair emerged.
