In 2015, will mark the return of NBC's hit sci-fi and super hero drama, Heroes and executive producer Tim Kring promises some new and fresh storylines and characters in the coming Heroes Reborn, but will the prequel show regain past glory of the original TV series.
Heroes was a popular TV series that aired back from 2006-2010 with four seasons. The series tells a group of individuals who have somehow gained super human abilities and how these powers affect their lives, other people and the whole world.
The Heroes prequel now dubbed Heroes Reborn: Digital series is a prequel webseries that produced by Tim Kring as part of NBC's new online original video initiative. The prequel will 13 episodes and is scheduled to air in 2015 and will feature some new storylines and characters exclusive to the series.
The new digital content will be promoted across the company's television networks and will air first on digital platforms including channel websites, Hulu, and video-on-demand.
"It's exciting to bring original content to the forefront on all of our digital platforms, " said Robert Hayes, Executive Vice President, Digital Media, NBC Entertainment. "We are lucky to once again be in business with some of the top producers in Hollywood making new content to further engage fans."
But the question remains, will Heroes Reborn: Digital series relive the past success of the original series and if so will fans appreciate the new prequel or becomes a dead waste of time? Will just about to find out more once Heroes Reborn development has new updates soon.
