Are you a fan of the classic Sinister Six members?
Director Drew Goddart hinted a change in the roster from its classic line-up in the comics to something different as the Sinister Six spin-off features some of Spider-Man's notorious members teaming up to take center stage in movie cinemas very soon and is the Amazing Spider-Man 3 a set-up for the Venom spin off?
Drew Tolmach was interviewed by IGN about the Sinister Six spin off and he stated that.
"Nothing is sacred. I mean it's going to be the best Six that you can imagine, but it's going to make sense in the world that we're building."
This hinted that this would likely be a different roster of the villainous group rather than the classic members in the comics and most likely the villains are originated in Oscorp as we've already seen glimpse of Doctor Octopus's robot tentacles and Vulture's wing harness. Villains from the two Spider-Man films; Lizard, Electro, Rhino, and Green Goblin originally came from Oscorp and this might be a pretty predictable circumstance that the Sinister Six members are the same villains Spidey defeated, but we're not ruling that one out just yet.
This will also make fans not to expect too much on the original line-up of Doc Ock, Electro, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio and Sandman as director Goddard will likely pick which of Spidey's villains will be drafted to the group and how his treatment of them will depend on the manner of the film's plot.
"When you translate comic to film the word 'classic' means the first fifty issues. Because after that, we all made changes, changes that had to do with science-fiction turning into science. I think just the need to move this world forward. So, of course we'll make adaptations about these guys and what was their motivations because many of them have multiple motivations. It depends, is it ultimate Spider-Man? Is it Spider-Man? Is it some three-piece issue that takes them to space? We have a bigger responsibility to represent the character of the villain as it was conceived, because that way it will survive the test of time. All the rest... that's a movie. What an opportunity to make- can you imagine seeing Paul Giamatti in a leather suit? I think they would have killed us. They gave us a hard time with the Lizard."
As for the Venom spin off there is a slight chance that Venom will be shown in the third Spidey film and likely a set-up for the villain's movie. Will this happen in Amazing Spider-Man 3, we'll just have to find out more details on both Venom and Sinister Six spins-off.
