Shocking news regarding a rapper and his penis were reported today.

According to TMZ, Christ Bearer, a member of the rap group Northstar, attempted to commit suicide early this morning.

Christ Bearer reportedly cut off his penis without any warning and jumped off the balcony. He was in an apartment that was only on the second floor.

Although the rapper is severely injured, he reportedly survived the fall, CNN reports.

Members of Northstar who also live in the apartment building told the gossip website that Christ Bearer was not on "any hard drugs that could cause him to do such a thing."

The incident reportedly happened in a matter of seconds.

By the time Northstar members raced downstairs to see what was going on, the Wu-Tang Clan affiliated rapper was already running around screaming incoherently.

Sources have told TMZ that the apartment building the rapper jumped from is located in North Hollywood.

Christ Bearer, also known as Andre Johnson, was found at around 1:00am on the sidewalk, critically injured.

Johnson was reportedly rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by an ambulance.

There hasn't been on update about whether Johnson's penis will be reattached or not.

It has been reported that Northstar is a group founded by members of the Wu-Tang Clan.

Philly.com reports that Wu-Tang member RZA discovered the group in 1998 outside of L.A. radio station The Beat.

Since his shocking attempted suicide, a video featuring the rapper and Rugged Monk was posted on YouTube.
