As the popularity of the web cartoons increase, a lot of dramas inspired by web cartoons are coming out, or in the process of filming. Two of the recent dramas that came out that are based on web cartoons are "Gab Dong Yi," and "Mi Saeng." The cable channel tvN's Friday Saturday drama "Gab Dong Yi" has only aired two episodes so far, but has become one of the popular weekend dramas. "Mi Saeng" is a story of a man who used to play ba duk for life, and starts a new life in a company as an employee. C J Entertainment signed the contract to produce a drama version of "Mi Saeng," and is currently aiming to premiere the drama at the second half of this year. In related news, the previous drama "Pretty Boy" starring Jang Geun Suk and IU was also based on a web cartoon.
