Chris Brown is currently in jail for assaulting a man in Maryland.

USA Today reports that the "Loyal" singer's trial will be held on Monday. A judge in Washington D.C. has delayed giving her verdict in the trial of a bodyguard for Chris Brown.

Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, both face an assault charge after a 20-year-old man claimed that the two punched him outside of a Washington hotel in October.

Hollosy reportedly told the police that he punched the man after he tried to get on Brown's tour bus.

The man, Parker Adams, said that both Brown and Hollosy punched him after he tried to get in a photo the singer was singing.

Adams stated that he suffered a broke nose and other injuries to his face after he was struck with punches from both men outside the W Hotel.

The Daily Mail reports that Adams told a District of Columbia Superior Court that the drama started when he and two female friends had approached Brown for a photo.

Chris Brown had agreed to take the photo with the two women, and when Adams tried to get in on it, Rihanna's ex reportedly made a homophobic remark, stating, "I'm not into that gay shit."

The troubled 24-year-old's mother Joyce Hawkins and girlfriend Karrueche Tran arrived on Friday to the Columbia Superior Court to show support.

There had been rumors that the Grammy winner and Karrueche Tran had broken up, but her appearance in court seemed to say otherwise.

Brown was recently in rehab, where he was visited by Karrueche Tran, and served jail time in Los Angeles before being transported across the country in a convict vehicle.

If convicted in the case, the singer could be sentenced for up to four years in prison.

Chris Brown has been trying to get his career back on track, as seen from his release of "Loyal."

The music video for "Loyal" was released while the singer was in jail.
