E3 2014: Fallout 4 Release Date To Be Announced For The PC, PS4 And Xbox One Rumored As Zenimax Files Trademarks Related To The Game!

Tags

It's time to get really excited about Fallout 4 again. Zenimax Media - parent company of Bethesda Softworks - filed three trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, all for the term "Nuka Cola" will this set up the E3 2014 Fallout 4 release date announcement for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One?

As IGN notes, the three trademarks were registered 'based on intent to use' and cover:

"Entertainment services, namely, providing on-line interactive computer games; entertainment services, namely, providing information and entertainment relating to electronic computer games via the Internet"

"Clothing, namely, shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, headwear, namely hats; footwear, namely shoes and sneakers; jackets, fleece pullovers, pants, sweatpants, jeans"

"Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices; computer game software for use with on-line interactive games"

Registering a trademark 'based on intent to use' as opposed to 'based on use in commerce', as Zenimax did with Nuka Cola, suggests this may be different to the usual protective type of trademark used for long running IPs - instead it implies new designs for the Nuka Cola brand.

It's obvious that fans are clamoring for a new Fallout 4 title and with the buzz surrounding the franchise now, an E3 2014 Fallout 4 release date announcement would be something the fans would surely love and it's has already being rumored to happen.

Twitter and Facebook users are abuzz sharing and posting rumors about the supposed Fallout 4 release date but do you want a Fallout 4 to happen? What platforms should it be released to? Sound off in the comments below!
