The man who sued X-Men director, Bryan Singer, of sexual abuse, showed that there is no stopping him. On Monday, he added three more entertainment industry figures in his complaint for the same grounds.
Michael Egan III filed individual lawsuits against the three, bearing the same details as those in his case against Singer. In his complaint against Egan, he indicated being sexually abused by the director in Los Angeles and Hawaii. He was 15 to 17 years old when the abuse took place.
Egan's latest lawsuits were filed in the federal court of Hawaii. These complaints were issued against Garth Ancier, former executive of Fox Television, Gary Wayne Goddard, theater producer and David Neuman, former executive of Disney and Current TV. As of this writing, the three entertainment industry figures have not yet issued a public comment.
Meanwhile, Singer, through his attorney, issued a statement to deny the allegations. His attorney even labeled such accusations as 'defamatory'. Singer's attorney further said, "The director was not in Hawaii during the time specified in the complaint. In fact, the production for the first X-men film has already started that time."
Bonnie Mound, Egan's mother, tearfully remarked at a recent press conference, "The only motivation of my son in filing these charges is to hold these persons accountable. It's not about the money."
During the press conference, Egan also narrated how those abuses made him suffer for years. He stated that his drinking addiction has become his way of masking the pain. It was only during the past year when he committed to quit drinking and brought himself to a therapy. The therapy gave him the conviction to pursue the case. Then, he started looking for a lawyer to help him file the charges.
