Big Boi, just coming off of a historic performance at Coachella with his teammate Andre 3000 as outkast, has decided to team up with Phantogram for a collaborative project, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The rapper is working on a solo album, still untitled, will be his third, and a follow-up to 2012’s Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. “I’m just working on it now,” the rapper said. “I’ve got a lot of music, but it ain’t done until you turn it in. We’re about to do 40-something more concerts, so [I’ll be] recording on the road and traveling.” He is also signed on to make a collaboration with Phantogram, entitled “Big Grams” (both artists’ named fused together). He had previously worked with Phantogram on “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors.” “Big Grams” will likely be pushed back to 2015 as Big Boi has almost 40 tour dates this year with Andre 3000. However, Big Boi told the Hollywood Reporter that he will likely release some songs from the collaboration later this year. Their song “Objectum Shalamar” can be listened to below!

He said about the collaboration process with Phantogram, “We’ve got songs which were already recorded when we were working on my last record. They come down to Stankonia and we camp out for like a week and trade vibes. They go back to New York, then they come back down and we just keep the process going.”

Apparently the rapper is also interested in working with Modest Mouse again, after making 3 songs with them back in 2011. Big Boi states, “I’ve been asking Isaac [Brock] when they gonna do it, man. We’ve got these songs they’ve been sitting on forever. I saw him a couple months ago and they’re working on some additions to what we did. I don’t know. It’s a crazy camp over there. It’s coming. Talk to him! He’s the boss.”
