Apple's earning call preview for Q2 2014 is already floating on the Net ahead of Apple’s (APPL) next earnings date announcement at 5pm EDT on Wednesday, April 23. The Appl earning report preview is what analysts are saying about Apple’s quarterly financial results ending in March .

An earnings call has been arranged for 2pm PT/10pm BST on 23 April. Apple CEO Tim Cook, CFO Peter Oppenheimer and Luca Maestri, tapped as the next CFO, will be discussing Apple Inc’s earnings, specifically the number of Phones, iPads and Macs Apple sold in Q2 of 2014.

CFO Oppenheimer's forecast in the Q1 quarter for revenue in the second quarter tagged at $42 billion to $44 billion, allowing for a gross margin of 37 and 38 per cent.’’

Apple Inc. reported $57.6 billion in revenue for the Q1 2014, possibly owing to the fact that Q1 was the initial quarter when Apple's new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were up in the market. Q1 also saw the release of iPad Air and Retina iPad mini.’

AppleInsider reported in its earnings preview that Wall Street was expecting lackluster results since Apple’s products are yet to be launched. The figures are bound to pick up once Apple Inc. releases the new iPhone flagship the iPhone 6, perhaps an iWatch as rumored and

“With no major new products launched in the just-concluded March quarter, analysts on Wall Street don't expect big things from Apple when the company reports its earnings on Wednesday, generally projecting for revenue to be about flat with the same period from a year ago,” shares Neil Hughes of AppleInsider.

Data on iPhone 5c has been haunting Apple for a while with reports citing it is below par in its sales figures in the Chinese market. Although the low cost iPhone is underperforming, don’t expect Apple earning call reports to reveal details about iPhone sales details. Perhaps, the Cupertino, California firm will offer a rounded figure reflecting the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iPhone 4s in total.
