Two new dramas are reuniting actors with proven onscreen chemistry. "Hotel King" reunited Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae, who previously starred together in "My Girl.'
The upcoming "Joseon Shooter" will reunite Lee Jun Ki and Nam Sang Mi, who co-starred in "The Time Between Dog and Wolf."
It won't be the first time two actors had more than one chance to charm audiences. For example, So E Hyun and her fiancé In Kyo Jin were in two dramas together before they moved beyond friendship and into love.
Kim Nam Gil and Son Ye Jin were tragic first loves in "Shark" but the actors got to have a more fun relationship playing comrades in the film "Pirates."
And how about Bae Soo Bin and Han Hyo Joo. They appeared together in "Shining Inheritance" and "Dong Yi."
Sometimes a do-over offers a second lead a chance to get the girl. Jung Yong Hwa did not win Park Shin Hye in "You're Beautiful" but he succeeded in their next joint project "Heartstrings."
While fans are happy to see this trend of re-matching former co-stars, it does make you wonder which other stars you would like to see having a second chance at k-drama chemistry.
Here are a few suggestions:
Gong Hyo Jin and So Ji Sub. He managed to make her even funnier and she bought out his comic side in "The Master's Sun." Although he never tried to be funny before, he aced it.
And while we're at it, Gong Hyo Jin and her "Love Fiction" co-star Ha Jung Woo.
Kim Soo Hyun and Suzy. These two made an adorable couple in "Dream High" and both have proven star power.
Yoon Eun Hye and Park Yoochun: Yoon Eun Hye has great chemistry with all her co-stars but she met her crying match with Park Yoochun in "Missing You." And she also looked great with her other co-star Yoo Seung Ho.
Yoon Eun Hye and Lee Min Ho. They were very briefly a couple in "Personal Taste" when he introduced her to Son Ye Jin as his ex-girlfriend. They look so good together they could definitely use more shared screen time.
Yeo Jin Goo and Kim Yoo Jung. These child actors played very young lovers in "Iljimae" and "The Moon Embraces The Sun." Now that they're all grown up, someone might want to think of a new opportunity for them to be co-stars.
