Miriam Weeks has been getting attention in and out of Duke University after it was revealed that she's a porn star.

Weeks, who is also known as Belle Knox, has been featured in the May 2014 issue of Rolling Stone.

During her interview with the magazine, Miriam Weeks explains more about her past experiences with both sex and depression.

Miriam's dad was reportedly a military doctor, causing her family to move around a lot. Her family finally settled in Spokane, Washington where Weeks attended a private Catholic high school.

Her dream school had been Duke University from the beginning, especially after she had heard they had the best program for pre-law.

The now famous Duke University porn star reportedly began watching porn at the age of 12.

She then lost her virginity at the age of 16 and revealed that she had always known that she was bisexual.

The college freshman openly spoke of her experience with depression, which led to the 18-year-old cutting herself as a young teenager.

Belle Knox also recounts her experience being raped at a house party while she was still in high school.

Weeks reportedly explained that her friends at the time blamed her for the incident, stating that she was the one who had been drunk. The blame and shame she had to face ultimately triggered the porn star's interest in women's rights.

The origins of her porn name, Belle Knox, which she put together herself, were also revealed.

She explained that "Belle" was from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" and "Knox" was chosen due to her fascination with Amanda Knox.

The Duke University student was able to take home the award for New Girl on the Block at Exxxotica, which took place in Atlantic City.

As she accepts her award, Knox stated, "This has been the craziest, most random year of my life. But I'm so grateful to be here. I love being in porn. I don't feel respected at Duke. I feel respected here."
